Koenig Books, 1999, Softcover, 64 pages, 27 x 22 cm
Very Good / Slightly shelf-worn covers
Contains an interview with Mike Kelley and Daniel Kothenschulte and a text by Mike Kelley. Published on occasion of the projects Sublevel from 1998 and Deodorized Central Mass with Satellites from 1991/99. The installation Sublevel is a labyrinthine construction on two levels. The upper level is visible and lined with pink crystals, while the lower level is designed as a walk-in tunnel leading into a sealed aluminum house. The work explores the connections between space, architecture, and memory, but above all, the phenomenon of repressed memory and false memory. Texts in English and German.
